The atmosphere of this album is fantastic. Makes you feel like you're knee-deep in the trenches drenched in mud, filth, sweat, and blood. Truly encapsulates the horrors of World War I, and the fact that the lyrics of some of the songs are taken from old war letters really adds to the authenticity.

Really liked the raw style with very well-crafted melodies, the raspy vocals and every bit of the gloomy atmosphere, reminiscent of Rimruna, Krael and Dauþuz, to cite a few raw BM German bands I also like a lot. This one is a 4-track EP remaining under half-an-hour of punchy rawness sachavonkarl74
It’s so cold here—so cold, and so lonely. The sky is a forbidding sheet of flat gray clouds stretched painfully thin across the horizon. Even the Sun feels the chill and hides his face. There is only me here, drowning in my emptiness and despair. But now I have a new Begotten album to put a driving beat to my melancholy, to coax me to glance furtively up from the gutter, if just for a moment. Thanks, guys. Dave Aftandilian
